The Illinois Beverage Association honors Mental Health Awareness Month, which was first celebrated in the United States in 1949. Community-health is at the center of our beverage companies’ priorities – and this includes mental health.

The beverage industry is focused on protecting mental health in the communities in which we serve – that’s why this year, our industry teamed up with The Coca-Cola Company Foundation to grant $5 million to address childhood and adolescent mental health. Funds will go towards expanding mental health care access for our youth.

By investing in early intervention, outcomes can be improved, stigma reduced and access to prevention, diagnosis and treatment can be prioritized.

Our beverage companies are proud to play a role in ensuring our community members are happy and healthy. Join us in raising awareness on mental health during the month of May and all year long.
