The Illinois Beverage Association Congratulates Chicago Mayor-Elect Brandon Johnson
Brandon Johnson Elected 57th Mayor of Chicago
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS – The Illinois Beverage Association (IBA) congratulates Mayor-elect Brandon Johnson on his victory in Chicago’s mayoral runoff this week. IBA would also like extend the congratulations to all the elected municipal candidates and the campaign staff that worked on the 2023 Chicago Municipal Election. The inaugural ceremony for Mayor, City Clerk, City Treasurer and Alderpersons will be held on May 15th, officially commencing their term of office.
“We congratulate Mayor-Elect Brandon Johnson on his victory on Tuesday’s election,” said IBA Executive Director Rob Nash. “We look forward to working with him and his incoming administration on the immense community and economic benefits our member companies provide the City of Chicago.”
The new Mayor and the 50-member Chicago City Council will be formally sworn in on May 15th, along with citywide positions of Treasurer and City Clerk.
