The Illinois Beverage Association Attends Annual American Beverage Government Affairs Conference

The Beverage Industry Holds First In-Person Conference Since 2019

(ILLINOIS) – The Illinois Beverage Association (IBA) attended the American Beverage Government Affairs Conference held in California this October. Member companies and state association heads gathered at the conference to discuss public health, environmental, packaging and sustainability issues within the Beverage Industry. Rob Nash, IBA Executive Director, represented the association in a panel discussion regarding environmental policy and sustainability efforts in various states.

“The Illinois beverage industry is committed to protecting our state’s natural environment,” said Nash at the panel. “Our member companies are working to provide sustainable solutions to some of the largest issues affecting our planet including recycling plastics.”

The panel focused on discussing engagement on plastics and collection policies in an effort to share experiences and broaden the beverage industry’s perspective on various collection proposals.

The Illinois Beverage Association recognizes the beverage industry’s leading role offering sustainable products to play their part in preserving our environment and Illinois’ natural resources.
